Many parents over the years have voiced their concern that their teens are not leaving high school with the tools they need to survive in the 'real world'.
A Kentucky high school has heard those concerns loud and clear. Seniors at Bullitt Central High School in Shepherdsville will be having an 'Adulting Day' each week that will focus on teaching them how to do things like pay bills, change a tire, and cooking when they get to college.
Christy Hardin, the Director of the BCHS Family Resource & Youth Services Center said the idea came when "I saw a Facebook post that parents passed around saying they needed a class in high school on taxes and cooking.”
