Improving Ourselves 2020

So, I NEVER make New Year's resolutions (I've never felt that self-important). This year, I thought I'd try to make a list of things we can ALL work on in 2020.

1. Stop judging other people's sex lives. HONESTLY, if you've been doing this, it needs to stop. There's no place for that anymore. We want people to feel comfortable in their own skin, and live their lives uninhibited by old world ideas, that really don't have a place in modern-day society. If you don't like what someone else is doing, then don't do it. Give other people the peace of not having to hear your opinions and judgements.

2. Apologizing. I know this is something we tell women to stop doing so much, but I've seen plenty of guys do this too. It's an over-apologizing epidemic. Apologizing for EVERYTHING not only makes everyone around you uncomfortable, but it does more harm than good to your psyche/self-confidence. Stop qualifying everything you do.

3. Being in relationships just because. Are you staying with someone because it's a safety net? Are you with someone because it's comfortable, or easier than facing the world alone? GET OUT. Leave that situation immediately. Stop being afraid of being alone. It's not easy, trust me, I know, but you need to get more comfortable with yourself.

4. Stop spending time with people out of obligation. This one's really important. We all do it. Just because you were friends with someone as a kid, doesn't mean you owe them ANYTHING. If they're toxic, cut them off. If you don't want to do something, say "No."

That's all I've got for now. Peace, love, and happy holidays. Let's grow together in 2020.
