Chris Rock tested positive for COVID-19, the comedian revealed on Twitter Sunday (September 19).

The actor-comedian seems to have insinuated that his symptoms are on the more severe side, telling followers, "you don't want this."

"Hey guys I just found out I have COVID, trust me you don't want this," the Grown-Ups star wrote online. "Get vaccinated," he added.

Fans shared well wishes for the comedy legend and are also curious about his vaccination status since he's advocating for the shot. According to Page Six, Rock made an appearance on The Tonight Show back in May of this year and joked that he used his celebrity status to skip the line in order to get the shot.

"I'm two-shots Rock, that's what they call me," the Head of State actor joked before adding that he got the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine. "That's the food stamps of vaccines," he said at the time.

The 56-year-old has been very vocal about vaccinations throughout the pandemic, appearing alongside former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo in May 2020, advocating for public health measures like mask-wearing.

"It's the kids who really aren't wearing a mask, and you know, it's sad," he said last year. "It's sad that our health has become, you know, a sort of political issue ... It's a status symbol, almost, to not wear a mask."
