Selena Gomez could be looking at the first number one album of her career next week.
Industry sources are telling "Billboard" that her latest release Stars Dance is projected to sell up to 100-thousand copies this week, putting her ahead of Jay-Z's Magna Carta Holy Grail on the chart.
It will likely mark the best sales week of Selena's career so far. Her previous career high came in 2011 with her album When The Sun Goes Down, which debuted with 78-thousand copies sold. The singer has been keeping busy promoting Stars Dance, which came out on Tuesday, the day after her 21st birthday.
Selena recently gave an exclusive interview to Ryan Seacrest on E! and stopped by "The Tonight Show." She'll be performing as part of the iHeartRadio Live series Thursday and appearing on "Good Morning America" and "Live with Kelly and Michael" on Friday.
